Love the Moms Panel. Have res for magic your way at PCR in June. Decided to arrive a day early and reserved room only at same resort. Is there any way we can stay in same room for our original vac time as the room we stay in on the first day? Thanks

    Hi, Misti!

Since you actually have 2 separate reservations, there is no guarantee that you will be able to stay in the same room.  What you might want to do is have both reservation numbers handy and call a friendly Disney Reservationist at (407)W-DISNEY to see if it is possible to link the reservations or at least make a note of your situation.

To follow up, 4 - 5 days prior to arrival I would send a fax to your resort requesting that you keep the same room for both reservations.  Hopefully with plenty of notice, it can be worked out for you to not have to move!

Rooms are assigned ahead of time, so make sure to address this issue before you leave.  Resorts are often booked to capacity so there is not as much flexibility once you arrive.

If you cannot be accommodated and will have to move, I suggest keeping your bags packed, and just take out what you need.  This will make the move much easier.  If they tell you that you can stay in the same room, you will still need to get new room keys for the second part of your trip which will contain any park tickets, dining plan credits, and any other add-ons.  You will want to find this out at check-in.

I hope it all works out and you can settle in on your first night for a magical stay in Walt Disney World.  Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
