Hi! Love the panel, regards from Brazil. We are staying at POR 09/27-10/07. I really wanted to stay at POFQ, but the day I booked, the only one available was POR. Now, there's availability to POFQ. Should I change, or not? Car rental, no buses to parks.

Hi, Marilia!    Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside are next to each other, and are even connected by a trail that you can walk to in about 15 minutes.    The French Quarter is much smaller, with about 1,000 rooms, where Riverside has over 2,000 rooms.   Both resorts' rooms are similar in size with most having 2 double beds, 1 sink in the bathroom, a table and 2 chairs.   All rooms open to outside.  Both have fun pool areas and great themeing throughout the resort.

If you prefer a smaller resort with less walking, then change to the French Quarter.  If you think you would benefit from a larger food court, table service restaurant, and more activity, then stay with Riverside.

I am staying at French Quarter in November.   I chose this over Riverside because I have 2 kids and prefer to do less walking to the food court, pool, and bus stop.   However, before I had kids, Riverside was one of our favorites with its beautiful landscaping and we loved just walking the resort.

Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy all the magic in WDW!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
