Hi Moms! Love the panel! Can you recommend a place or two in each park to eat a packed lunch? Will it be hard to find a place to sit? Visiting with my mom (65) and daughter (4). Thanks!

    Hi Mollie,

Packing your own lunch is a great way to save money and time while touring the parks. If the parks aren't particularly crowded, you can usually grab an outside table at one of the Counter Service restaurants.

The best park for picnicking is Animal Kingdom. There are several locations that have nice, often shaded tables for dining.  Some of my favorites are located near the Discovery Island Trails. There's also a spot across from Flights of Wonder where we ate on our last trip. The area was shaded, and there was a great view of the Tree of Life.

In Magic Kingdom, Tomorrowland Terrace is often empty and filled with several tables. The restaurant is only open during the most crowded times, so your chances of finding a table here are excellent.

Anywhere that you can find a table around the lagoon in Epcot provides a scenic lunch spot. There is a great terrace near Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion.

At Hollywood Studios there are tables located near Min & Bill's Dockside Diner. You can also often find plenty of seating along Sunset Boulevard.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
