Hello! Love this panel! My question is do you know if the table service restaurants honor cards from a physician stating the guest has had weight loss surgery, and cannot eat a full adult meal, and allow them to order from the children's menu?

Hello Denise and thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I have traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort many times since my own weight loss surgery and in my experience the answer to your question is yes AND no. At quick service restaurants I have never even had to show my card and I have been allowed to order anything I have wanted. At table service venues that are menu based (not all-you-care-to-eat) I have never had a problem after explaining the situation to the Cast Member serving us. The main exception I have found is with all-you-care-to-eat experiences, including buffets and family style locations. At these locations I have always had to pay full price. However, it never hurts to ask!

One suggestion I have at menu based locations: share an appetizer, entree and dessert with a traveling companion. That way you get to enjoy "adult" flavors while not over indulging.

    See ya real soon!
