    Love the panel. Is it poss to use dinning plan for Hoop de doo cat 2 and then pay the difference to upgrade to cat 1 seating? Dont want to pay total out of pocket but really want cat 1 as have been before and DS 5th Bday.

    Hello, Laurie!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    What a great question!  In my past experiences, you were not able to upgrade your seating category on the Disney Dining Plan and pay the difference out-of-pocket.  With every call I made, this was never an option. However, Disney is always making changes and the best option at this time is to connect with a Dining Cast Member.  You can call (407)WDW-DINE and ask if securing a category 1 seat and paying the difference is an option.  Now, with all this being said, you may be in luck if you ask for the late show (9:30 p.m.).  Based on availability, you can use your same 2 dining credits for category 1 seating.  This may be late for a 5 year old, but the show is very entertaining!  Again, this is based on availability and this is also subject to change.
