I LOVE THIS PANEL!!!! We have 7 p.m. dinner reservation at California Grill. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Once dinner is over, can we leave for a few hours and then return for fireworks, dessert and/or drinks on the balcony? Thanks.

    Adrianna:

Thanks for the compliment on the panel!  It's a lot of fun helping folks plan their Disney vacations!

You should have no problem returning to the viewing balcony of the California Grill later in the evening for the fireworks provided you check in with the hostess stand.  They will see that you had an earlier reservation and then allow you on the elevators up to the top story and access to the skyline viewing area.

As for drinks and dessert, you probably couldn't get a walk-up seating in the dining room for dessert without another separate reservation. (California Grill is so popular!)  However, there's a good chance you'd be able to enjoy drinks at the bar, and then stroll out to the viewing area (which is more like a large cat walk than a balcony) to enjoy the fireworks.

Sounds like a magical evening! Enjoy!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
