Hi. Love this panel. Planning a trip to WDW Nov 22 - 29. Have some ?? about the steam train tour at MK. What days of the wk does it operate? Does it usually operate during Thanksgiving wk? My son will be 12 - will he need ID if he's with a parent? Thanks!

    Hi, Lisa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m glad to hear you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World this Thanksgiving. I love all of the magical extras at the theme parks during the holiday season.

Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour is currently offered at Magic Kingdom Park Monday through Saturday at 7:30 a.m., although the official schedule for the week of your visit isn’t available on the Walt Disney World website just yet. The Walt Disney World website indicates that this tour is limited to Guests 10 years of age or older and that they must present valid photo identification, but in my experience, Cast Members won’t expect to see a photo ID for a child who is not yet old enough to have a driver license. For reservations, call (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687.

I hope this helps, Lisa, and that your family has a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
