Love the panel! I have a 3 part question...We have 4:00PM reservations @ Raglan Rd on 9/20/09. 1.Will we have enough time to make it to the Chip N Dale campfire? 2. How do we get there from the restaurant? 3. How do we get back to Pop Century afterwards?

    Sheryl:

You shouldn't have any problem getting from Downtown Disney's Raglan Road to Fort Wilderness for the Chip 'n' Dale campfire sing-a-long at 8:00 p.m.  If you give yourself 1-1/2 hours to eat and a generous hour for the bus transfer, you'll be fine.

To get to the campfire, take a bus from the Downtown Disney bus stop to Fort Wilderness.  You'll be let off at the Outpost bus stop and from there, will want to take one of the fort's internal buses (the Orange Line) to the Meadows Trading Post.  Tell your bus driver where you're going, as there will be stops along the way.  The campfire will be behind the post and over the bridge to the left of the pool.  Feel free to stop into the trading post for a slushee or to play checkers if you've got time to burn.

The fire pits will be lit around 7:30 p.m.  If you forgot your marshmallows, you can buy s'more fixin's at the canteen at the back of the ampitheatre for $3 or so.

To get home, I'd recommend either taking the same internal bus to the Pioneer Hall/Settlement or walking the 10-minutes on down to the Settlement.  From there, the pier is about 100 yards.  Take a boat from the pier to the Magic Kingdom and then hop on one of its buses to Pop Century.  The total transfer will be a good 45 minutes to an hour back to your hotel.  (As you head out on the water, keep your eyes peeled for the electrical water pageant that will begin at the Polynesian and make its way around the lagoon resorts, ending at Fort Wilderness around 9:45 p.m.)

If you have park hopper passes, you might want to end your night at the Magic Kingdom for late magic hours.  It's open until midnight on the 20th!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
