Love this panel! Can you pack a "backpack" with food, (lunch incl drinks) to the park or is this not acceptable. Don't want them to go through our backpack and tell us we can't get through security because of the food. Want to go but money is s

    Hi Jacalyn,

Yes - you are allowed to bring a backpack into the parks with food & beverages just keep in mind that neither glass containers (except baby food jars) nor alcoholic beverages are permitted. Coolers and backpacks are permitted but coolers with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high are not permitted.

Here are a few other money saving tips regarding food and beverages:

    * Bring your own refillable water bottle - the water in the fountains isn't the greatest so you may want to bring some individual powered drink mixes to put in your water.

    * If you decide to eat a meal in the parks, consider sharing an entree.

    * Ask if you can purchase just a burger instead of the combo.

    * Bring in some Ziploc baggies for leftovers (i.e., carrots and grapes).

    * If you decide you want to eat at a table service restaurant, chose a location that offers a buffet and make your reservations for lunch instead of dinner - lunch prices are usually less expensive than dinner.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Have an awesome trip!
