I love this panel!! Need some help on how to surprise our kids that they are going to WDW. We will be there 5/27/11 and staying for 8 days. We will be flying. So how would you break it to your kids that they don't have to go to school that morning? ty

    Hi Kim!
Isn't that the most awesome news a child could hear? They don't have to go to school and they're going to the happiest place on Earth! We did something similar with our kids. As soon as they woke up, we played a Disney sing along DVD while we ate breakfast. When they asked why we were using a car service, my husband said it was because there was no parking available where we were going. Once they realized we were at the airport, they immediately figured it. Then they cried (happy tears) after asking many times if we were lying.
So I think a great way to let them know is by waking them up with something Disney themed and letting them realize what's happening. You could make Mickey shaped pancakes for breakfast and place your luggage next to the door to see their reaction. Another great idea would be to give them something Disney, like a puzzle of Cinderella Castle, and as they put the pieces together, ask them if they would like to see it up close.
This is such a precious surprise and there are so many ways to break such wonderful news. I wish I was there to se their faces! I
hope this helps and have a magical vacation!
