Love the panel!! 1 month away from our big family trip! So excited for dinner at O'hana on arrival day but some family members won't be there in time for our reservation. Since O'hana is all you care to eat, can we take a go-box to our late arrivals?

    Hi Mary!

'Ohana just happens to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. It holds a very special place in my heart (and stomach!) because it's been my family's ritual to have dinner there on the final evening of our vacation. While we enjoy the food, fun, and atmosphere of 'Ohana, we take time during that meal to reflect upon all of the wonderful memories we made during our vacation.

You asked a very interesting question, but unfortunately I don't have any personal experience in trying what you're considering. Never fear...I have two ideas to share:

Idea #1 - It never hurts to ask. The cast members at Walt Disney World are very accommodating and will do their best to help. If they are unable to do so, they will be very polite in explaining why.

Idea #2 - Encourage your other family members to make a beeline to Captain Cook's for their dinner and meet up with them after your culinary adventure at 'Ohana. This is an awesome quick service restaurant on the ground floor of the Great Ceremonial House (below 'Ohana) that has a variety of options that can definitely refuel weary travelers.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

Want to suggest a righteous combo for your family members to enjoy at Captain Cook's? Encourage them to try the Aloha Pork Sandwich, then have them wash it down with a self-serve Dole Whip. No joke - this is the lunch I have upon arrival for every Disney vacation my family goes on.

(Yes - I bookend my vacation meals at Disney's Polynesian Resort!!)

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
