Hello. Love the Panel!! I love DCL and would love try a 7-Day over Christmas. Does Disney do anything special during this time of year? Any special decorations? shows? menus?

Christmas is a most magical time to set sail, Kristin!  My family was aboard the Disney Magic for a very special 11-night southern Caribbean sailing for the Christmas holiday 2010.  I can tell you that the ship was decorated stem to stern with the most beautiful garlands and holiday trees in the atrium lobby.  Upon embarkation, we were treated to an intricate ice sculpture in the lobby as well. There was also a life-size gingerbread house set up in the Promenade Lounge (which remained throughout the length of the cruise).

While there weren't any holiday specific shows in the Walt Disney Theater, there were plenty of holiday-inspired events taking place around the ship, including family gingerbread house decorating (on a limited basis--tickets were required and could be obtained by visiting Guest Services).  Christmas Eve brought children's caroling, midnight mass, and holiday harmonies in the Promenade Lounge.  There was also a special offering of mulled wine in the lobby (available for purchase).  Traditional menu items (ham and turkey with all the fixings) were among the menu offerings in the dining rooms for Christmas dinner.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas day special gifts were left in the staterooms during nightly turn-down service.  Santa was available for pictures on Christmas morning.  So, too, was there an elaborate display of Christmas cookies set up in the atrium lobby on Christmas morning, served with hot chocolate if you so desired.  My family opted to spend Christmas morning in the Buena Vista Theater watching Tangled; it was such a fun way to spend our holiday!  We noticed one family dressed in matching pajamas in the theater that morning--cute, right?

I can't possibly remark on all the details but rest assured that Christmas aboard the Disney Magic was both festive and memorable.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as an unforgettable, unique way to spend the holiday!
