Love this Panel!!! Looking at booking the Mickeys Backyard BBQ for October, is it assigned seating or first come, is it on the DDP? What time do you recommend getting there and what are the times of the buffet? I am sooooooo excited for this trip!!!!

    Susan:

Unlike other shows that have reserved seating and tell you to be there an hour before showtime simply for a picture, when Mickey's Backyard BBQ recommends you arrive early, you need to! There is only general seating for the dinner so the seats around the stage and dance floor fill up quickly. However, keep in mind that the dance floor can get very full at times and having a seat toward the back near the buffet has its benefits. You'll find some folks arriving an hour ahead but let if you're not too picky, mosey down about 15 minutes before seating.

During Daylight Savings Time, the dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. In the winter, seating begins at 5:30. My recommendation is to arrive early enough for you to get in line based on your seating preference but rest in the fact that there is a playground nearby if you have children in your party. If you need to keep a close eye on them, switch out with someone in your party, but you'll need to keep your place in line. Most families are in the same boat.

The all-you-can-eat buffet is on the Disney Dining Plan and gratuity is included along with beer and wine. If you choose to imbibe, you'll find it a good value for your dining plan dollar.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
