Hi! Love this panel! I'm a teacher, so stuck with school breaks. Would like to visit either President's Day week, or week of April 14th. Both very busy times, but is one time slightly less crowded than the other? Thanks!

    Hi Laura!

I am a teacher too so I empathize with your need to restrict your visit to high traffic holidays.  But don't worry; Walt Disney World is magical even when the parks are busy.

Since Easter is March 31st in 2013, you won't see the worst of the spring break crowd in mid-April. The parks will be busy, but not as packed as the weeks before and after Easter. That's great news because, in my personal opinion, there's no better time to visit Walt Disney World than springtime.  The weather is mild and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is in full bloom.  Trust me; it's a welcome escape from northeastern winters.  I highly recommend you plan your trip for April.

Honestly, the week of Presidents' Day isn't that bad overall, either.  While the weekend of Presidents' Day is very crowded, the days on either side of it are much more reasonable.  The weather is not as dreamy as it would be in April, but it beats most February days in Massachusetts.

If you want really detailed predictions about crowd levels, you might want to visit touringplans.com as they offer suggestions for the best time to visit based on compiled data on crowd levels.

Let us know if you need any further advice as you plan your trip.  I'd consider it a special treat to assist a fellow teacher as she plans the vacation of her dreams!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
