Hi All. Love the panel. I'm doing a 3 night cruise and then going on to WDW. How long does it take to debark the ship and get a cab to WDW? I don't want to use the Magical Express for fear it takes too long. We will probably just have carry on bags. Thanks

    Hi Heda,

I think Disney Cruise Line has the most efficient debarking process in the cruise industry - which is great news for those of us that want to get out and on with our day!

The ship is typically cleared for debarkation around 7-7:30 a.m. and the process is very quick.  There are no "groups" or specified times, you are free to leave as soon as the ship is cleared  I have had times when I have been at the airport before 9:00 a.m.

Depending on the size of your party, it may be worth simply using the Disney transfer service, it is about $35 per person for one way service to Walt Disney World.  They commence the transfers as soon as guests start exiting the ship - so it is pretty efficient.  If you have a larger party, it may be worth looking in to a town car service.  Cabs can be expensive, especially if there is traffic since they run on a meter.

You can expect a town car to run you around $100-$120 plus gratuity.

    Hope this helps!
