Hi moms, love this panel, it helps releive the pain of info overload LOL! We'll be at WDW Jan23-31with 2x 9yrs girls not the type to do tea partys! What do you recommend, they're not much into princesses anymore but very much like pirates and animals!

WDW offers a great adventure for little pirates that my sons have done several times.  At the Grand Floridian (it also is offered at other resorts) several times a week in the morning, children ages 4-12 embark on a treasure hunt through the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake where they find a map and go on the hunt.  The little pirates are given bandanna mouse ears (this has varied in styles year to year) and head out on a pontoon boat where they do have a little lunch along the way and return with the loot!  A goody bag with little jewels, beads, and other little rewards.  For us, I'll admit we enjoyed our several hours at the Grand Floridian alone!  It can be booked by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE.

Also, at the Magic Kingdom near the Pirates of the Carribean, they have Captain Jack's Pirate Tutorial where Jack will train future pirates in the skills necessary to "plunder and pillage."

With their love of animals, they may enjoy the Bush Camp at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It is a 3 hour experience where they will get to explore African culture through a variety of opportunities.  It can be booked by calling 1-407-WDW-PLAY.  Also, there are many free offerings throughout the resort than can be done without a prior reservation.  Perhaps you could enjoy breakfast at Bomas and then explore the resort (which they will probably enjoy with all the animals) and grab an events newsletter to see what is offered that day.
