Love this panel, so helpful! Staying at AoA Little Mermaid in Oct. I've read some reviews about it being a 30min walk from LM Building to the food court. Is this true, has anyone stayed in LM building that can confirm this? Thanks

    Hi Danielle!

I absolutely love Disney's Art of Animation Resort. I had the opportunity to tour the property a few months ago and I was blown away. (Keep that in mind when you see my answer below!)

For most guests staying in the Little Mermaid rooms, the walk from those buildings to Animation Hall (the main building of the resort where the Landscape of Flavors food court area is located) should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how fast you walk.

So, you may be asking yourself, "Why would someone state in a review of this resort that it could take 30 minutes to walk from the Little Mermaid buildings to Animation Hall?"

I think there could be some truth to it because I could definitely see myself taking 30 minutes to do that walk!  The reason being, I am in constant awe of the level of detail that goes into every aspect of the theme parks, resorts, and other areas of Walt Disney World.  I could easily spend 30 minutes walking that path so I could soak in the story being told by the Disney Imagineers.

If you're an amateur photographer like me, make sure you have a huge memory card on your camera because you'll easily find yourself snapping hundreds of pictures of the the elements used by Disney Imagineers to make you feel like you've been placed directly into the stories of The Little Mermaid, Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Lion King.

So, if you're super hungry and need to grab a good meal at the Landscape of Flavors food court, you should have no problem getting there in a few short minutes.  However, I do recommend taking the "stop and smell the roses" tour of the property at least once during your visit.  It will definitely be a worthwhile investment of your time.

I hope that helps! If you should have any further questions, please feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can!

    Best regards,
    Derek
