Hi, love the Panel - so helpful! Planning an April 2014 trip. Family of 5 - me, DH, DS10, DD8, DS7. Stayed at FW Cabins (2x), AoA Cars Suite on prior trips. Looking at POR - will there be enough room for all 5 w/murphy bed or will it feel cramped? Thanks!

    Hi Karen,

I'm so glad to hear that we have been a useful tool in your planning. That is what we like to hear!

I will say that based on the ages of your children, you might find the rooms that accommodate 5 at Port Orleans might feel a little cramped. The murphy bed is a twin size, but in my opinion, it "seems" smaller. Once the bed is folded down, you will lose floor space and walking room around the bed. Again, this is simply my opinion.

However, the theming is super fun with touches from Princess and the Frog and the rustic weathered look of the homes along the bayou. The pool, Ol' Man Island, is loads of fun and there are tons of activities such as catch and release fishing, boat rentals, and bicycle trails.

If your budget allows, you might have more space by reserving two connecting rooms in a moderate or value resort or upgrading to a room in a deluxe resort that can accommodate five. The deluxe rooms are larger and many have couches that pull out into a twin bed without feeling as cramped. If budget doesn't allow for this, you might want to try another area of Art of Animation such as a family suite in the Finding Nemo or Lion King sections.

    Happy planning!
