Love the panel! Headed to MNSSHP in October with DH and another couple. I will be 7 months pregnant. Looking for costume ideas, interested in ideas for individual, couple, or group costumes. Thanks!

    Hi Kendall ~

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is my favorite special event at the Magic Kingdom! You will see some amazing costumes that Guests create to wear.

Star Wars fans are all buzzing with excitement after hearing a new movie is in the works. Since you will be 7 months pregnant, maybe you could go as a pregnant Padme and your husband could go as Anakin Skywalker. Your friends could go as Luke and Leia. There are so many awesome Star Wars characters to choose from.

Consider Disney movie characters. I saw a great Mary Poppins and Bert last year. One couple could go as Mary and Bert and the other as the dancing penguins.

How about the original Mouseketeers? Who doesn't love to wear a shirt with their name on it and a Mickey Ear Hat?

If you want to get into the Halloween spirit, think of characters from the Haunted Mansion. I love the Hitchhiking Ghosts and ballroom dancers.

Also think of the attractions. The dolls from "it's a small world", the pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Aliens from Buzzlight Year's Space Ranger Spin would be super cute.

It doesn't have to be a Disney related costume. I love the classic movies like Ghostbusters. Think about the popular video games today like Mario Kart or Minecraft. And you know everything is awesome when you are a Lego mini-figure. The Big Bad Wolf and the 3 little pigs would be a fun group costume.

The possibilities are endless so have fun with it. Remember that Guests are not allowed to wear masks that cover their faces in the parks including for MNSSHP. Also keep in mind that you'll be boarding attractions so you don't want to wear anything too cumbersome. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes when selecting your costumes.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
