Hi April,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I absolutely love visiting Walt Disney World on Halloween! We have attended
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party the day after Halloween a couple of times. Be sure to dress up, even if only in Halloween t-shirts. I love seeing what clever costumes people come up with. One year we met an older couple, both in their seventies, who were dressed as Cinderella and her Prince Fifty Years Later!
Entertainment and special offerings throughout the other parks and resorts will be released closer to Halloween. Always check with the lobby concierge for the latest information on what's happening at your resort. My kids were able to trick-or-treat at the Contemporary Resort one year. We've seen incredible pumpkin carving displays throughout several resorts. Downtown Disney has had special events for Halloween, too. We have also found some great Halloween entertainment at Disney's Boardwalk. For incredible Halloween displays, you might want to visit Disney's Fort Wilderness. The RV campers go all out decorating their sites, and their golf carts, for Halloween.
Of course, even with so many options, you might decide to have a quieter night to save up your energy for all of the fun at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
