Hello! Love the panel - you guys are fantastic! Coming in May, staying at POR, and can't decide which section we'd rather stay in (Alligator Bayou/Mansions). Past materials say that trundles are only available in Alligator Bayou, is that still the case?

    Kristina:

Because I live in South Mississippi where I see plenty of rustic landscape and my fair share of spanish moss, Alligator Bayou is not my preference at Port Orleans: Riverside.  In fact, we only stayed in that section because we took three of our four children and needed the trundle bed--that indeed is only at Alligator Bayou, to answer your other question.

Each time we boarded the boat to Downtown Disney at the resort and floated passed the "mansions" in Magnolia Bend, I pined away for the manicured lawns and stately buildings, not to mention their views of the Sassagoula River....now, granted you're from Ohio and so either themeing might be a good fit, but don't be allured by "water areas" you may see in online maps of Alligator Bayou. Most were dried up when we were there. The water views from the "mansions" in Magnolia Bend were quite lovely.

Request Building 85 (Magnolia Terrace) to be near the walkway to the pool and have your "own" bus stop out the back. Building 90 (Oak Manor) is a little closer to the Main Building and restaurants. Both are equal distance from the Marina.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
