LOVE THIS PANEL - GREAT JOB!!!! I am wondering about detials about the Magical Express luggage delivery to hotel. Not sure where to call to set it up, set up before we leave... how it all works exactly? Staying @Poly, arrive @10am, going in Sept.?Thanks

I recommend that you call ASAP to set up your Magical Express service. You can do this at the general Disney reservation number, (407) W-DISNEY.

Disney requires that you arrange for transportation at least 10 days in advance.  However, I recommend doing this at the time you reserve your room, or at least 4-6 weeks in advance.  They mail you luggage tags to use so they can transport your luggage for you, and at 10 days out there isn't time to receive those tags before your departure.

Basically, you'll receive a booklet with boarding passes and luggage tags for everyone in your group.  If you'd like Disney to pick up your luggage and deliver it to your room for you, just attach one of these tags to each of your checked bags.  When you arrive in Orlando you'll go to the Disney Welcome Center (level 1, side B) where they will direct you to the proper bus.  You do not need to go to baggage claim!

When you arrive at your resort, check in as usual.  It's ok if you're there before your scheduled check-in time.  Go ahead and do the paperwork now, before it gets crowded.  You may not have access to your room just yet, but at least you'll be ready to go when the time comes.  Then you can head straight to the parks!  If you'd like to stick a swimsuit in your carry-on, feel free to use the resort pool after check in also.

You're generally told to allow up to 3 hours for your bags to be delivered to your resort, but it can be slightly longer or shorter, depending on how busy they are.  If waiting for your bags won't suit you, then do not use the luggage tags that Disney provides.  At the airport you'll go to baggage claim as usual and pick up your own bags.  Take them with you to the Disney Welcome center, and the driver will assist you with loading them under the bus so you can take them to your resort yourself.  Just be prepared with a tip for his help!

    Have a great vacation!
