Love this panel. So much good advice. We will be at Disney in 39 days!!!! We are planning on visiting AK on 5/4/14 but I read that the Expedition Everest Challenge is that day. Will this have a big impact on crowd levels? Thanks!

    Hi Christina!

Yes, the runDisney event called the Expedition Everest Challenge is taking place on the weekend of May 3rd and 4th, 2014.  The actual race which is a combination of a 5K race (3.1 miles) and a scavenger hunt is on Saturday, May 3, 2014  at 10:00 pm after Animal Kingdom is closed for the day.  You should not see an increase in normal crowd levels at Animal Kingdom on Sunday, May 4th, 2014 because the Expedition Everest Challenge runners most likely will still be sleeping after a late evening at Animal Kingdom the night before.  You actually may see decreased crowd levels at Animal Kingdom on the morning of May 4th, 2014 because people already had been at Animal Kingdom the night before.

I hope that your May Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
