So glad you've navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Marisa!
Your cruise is coming up and I'm sure your little buccaneers are very excited to be sailing with Captain Mickey very soon. Lots of celebrations happen onboard the Disney Cruise, so you best be prepared to wear something green on your voyage for St. Patrick's Day! Make sure you check out the
Personal Navigator -- it will list all the schedule of events & activities onboard... and where the Pot of Gold might be? There's usually a themed dance party going on and also activities at the youth clubs. The adult exclusive areas usually join in on the fun with party drink specials that all tie into the celebration. This voyage will be so much fun for everyone!
Renting the
snorkel gear at Castaway Cay does require that your child be at least 5 years old. Disney Cruise Line is pretty strict about port adventures and activities that have age restrictions, mostly for safety reasons. My whole family loves to snorkel, and we consider ourselves strong swimmers. But it still is a far enough swim from the beach to the sunken surprises. The current can still be strong too. I'm sure your little one will enjoy the Family Beach - lots of energy to be burned there. Maybe building some Mickey Ear sand castles on the beach? Or stopping by
Scuttle's Cove for some fun games and other activities.
You and your kids will have a blast on
Castaway Cay!
Have a great time, Marisa!
