    Love the moms panel! My family and I are visiting in April 2013 and are eagerly anticipating the Fantasyland Expansion. What will be open and where can I get an updated park map? Thanks

    Hi Jane!  Everyone has been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Magic Kingdom Fantasyland. This will nearly double the size of what it is today and we all know this land is the most popular of all in this park.  The soft opening will begin mid November and the official grand opening will be December 6 of this year. Not everything will be ready but much work has taken place and a great amount of the new area will finally be open for the public to enjoy.

    This is what likely will be open for you in 2013:
    Dueling Dumbos
    Great Goofini roller coaster
    Fantasyland Train Station
    Casey Jr Splash and Soak water play area
    Belle's Cottage and Enchanted Tales with Belle-meet Belle and Lumiere
    Belle's Village-Gaston's Tavern and Bonjour! Village gifts
    Beast's Castle-home to the new Be Our Guest restaurant open for lunch and dinner (reservations at dinner only)
    Ariel's Grotto-meet and greet Ariel
    Under the Sea major attraction-themed around the Journey of the Little Mermaid and you will feel like you are truly going under the sea

    Coming in 2013 but not published a date yet is the Princess Fairytale Hall which will be the new home for all guests to meet the Disney royalty.
    Coming in 2014 is the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train which will be a fun and thrilling roller coaster type attraction.

    Currently the Magic Kingdom park maps are showing many of the new changes for this land. As more opens by years end the maps will increase the information.  You can find pictures of the layouts on the internet but until it is published by Disney we all know things can change!
