Love this panel! My family of 5 plan on staying at POR in June w/ dining. Is it overwhelming to reserve a restaurant each night and be on time? Worried at the busy time of year we won't get seating anywhere w/o reservations. Thanks in advance!

Some guests do find it cumbersome to be tied down with reservations during their vacations.  My family, however, thoroughly enjoys the sit-down dining aspect of our trips to Walt Disney World.  We look at those meal times as a chance to refresh and recharge.  It's nice to be able to sit down at a table that is meant especially for you rather than have to wait in line at a counter service location and then carry a tray of food around with you in search of an available table.

As far as getting to your dining locations on time, it's not as hard as it seems.  As long as you have a general idea of where you'll be at on any given day, you can make dining reservations at a restaurant in that vicinity.  Then, it's just a matter of heading to that restaurant a few minutes before your reservation time and checking in at the podium.  The wait for the next available table is usually minimal.

I highly recommend making reservations, especially if you have any must-do restaurants.  Many guests are disappointed to be turned away from sit-down restaurants because they don't have reservations.  No sense in risking that for your family.  Enjoy your vacation!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
