Love the panel! We are going to Disney in 14 days-h, w, 2 dd, and 1 ds 6 mo, & both gmothers!!! We will arrive on Sat, Nov. 21, my husband's bday. We have ADR for Chef Mickey's at 8:00. Is there anything that may be available to do for him at mealtime

    A shout out from Mississippi!

Our family just returned from celebrating our 5-year-old's birthday with a visit to Chef Mickey's!  If you were celebrating at a table service restaurant, I'd recommend a call to Disney's cake hotline (407-827-2253) for a custom cake, as they only need 48 hours to make a memorable dessert.  But with a big buffet like Chef Mickey's, it seems like overkill.

With just a little prompting from you, the waitress will bring out a cupcake with a candle and get the rest of the diners to join into a strong chorus of 'Happy Birthday.'   Honestly, I was disappointed that Mickey and Minnie didn't come out and join in, but there are so many folks there celebrating something, they'd probably never see everyone otherwise.

Make the most of your time with Mickey, Minnie and the gang as they come to your table, and I'd make sure to save the cupcake and capture the memory in pictures.  End the night by sticking close to the Contemporary to catch the Wishes fireworks show at 10 p.m. at the Magic Kingdom!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
