Love the panel. While on the dining plan,we plan to see "Hoop-Dee-Doo" and "Spirit of Aloha" dinner shows. As these will take 2 credits per show, are we better off paying for these shows or actually using our credits and then paying

Hi, Janice! I'd pay out of pocket (and when I say "I", I really mean "you." As much as I love Hoop Dee Doo, I only just met you and I don't think it's appropriate to start buying you dinner.)

So, why should you pay out of pocket? The price you'd pay at Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha is slightly more than most table service dinners cost. However, the out of pocket per person cost of Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha does not equal the cost of two table service dinners elsewhere when you do the math. Plus, Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha include gratuity and select adult beverages in the cost, so you really don't need to factor in additional costs associated with these experiences.

If you have extra table service credits and nowhere to put 'em, then you could double up. Otherwise, pay out of pocket to get a bigger bang for your buck.
