Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the love! We are thrilled to assist you in planning your vacation! Typically on a night when the Magic Kingdom closes early for a special ticketed event (i.e., Disney Grad Nights, MNSSHP & MVMCP), Wishes is not held and only the special fireworks for the special event can be seen. There may be an exception here and there, but typically not.
During your visit,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is being held on Dec. 14th, 16th, 17th and 19th. If you are attending either of these nights you can see Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at 8:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.
You can see Holiday Wishes from anywhere outside the Magic Kingdom that you can typically see Wishes (i.e., along the beaches of the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian as well as areas offering viewing at the Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Towers).
One of my new favorite places to view the fireworks is on the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. During the month of December, they set sail 7 nights a week from the Contemporary Resort. To check availability and to book a voyage call 407-WDW-PLAY. Be sure to take a jacket with you if you cruise in Dec. Even if its a warm day and a nice evening, being on the water can get a little chilly.
Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
