I love this panel! We are coming for our 2nd trip in Feb. Two boys-5&8. Love the Haunted Mansion and scary stuff. I want to ride Expedition Everest and Dinosaur. My boys want to ride too. Should I rider swap with my hubby? I don't want nightmares.

    Hello Jennifer!!!

Sounds like you love to live on the edge!!!  Very cool!

Expedition Everest is a great ride!!!  My daughter rode this attraction starting at age seven and absolutely LOVED it!  However, my son is eight, and he will not get CLOSE to Expedition Everest.  If your sons like roller coasters (my son does not), then they will LOVE Expedition Everest.  The "Yeti" experience on this ride is not scary...I think it's cool!  The only scary part for me is that you go backwards in one part of this ride.  (To be honest, going backwards makes me woozy, but my daughter could ride it a million times and be OK!!!)  Bottom Line:  If your boys are tall enough to ride (44 inches or taller) and they like roller coasters, then Expedition Everest is a MUST ride.

DINOSAUR is a VERY LOUD and BUMPY ride!  I don't think I can emphasize LOUD and BUMPY enough!  There is one pretty scary encounter with a dinosaur.  My 6 year daughter rode it only once, and she told me she was "done with those mean dinosaurs".  I will say they use humor throughout the ride to downplay some of the intense parts of the attraction.

Of these two rides, I would say that DINOSAUR is scarier.  My recommendation is for one of you to ride the attraction first and get a good handle on the whole experience before allowing your sons to ride.

I hope this helps in your planning!  If you have other questions, please let me know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!!!
