We love your panel. We're celebrating our 20th anniversay with a trip to DW from 10/6-10/12. Will the Electrical Light Parade be going on at that time? I heard that it can be seen from Fort Wilderness. Do you know of any other good viewing areas?

    Stuart:

You may be thinking of the Electrical Water Pageant that can be seen from the pier of Fort Wilderness. The Magic Kingdom's parade can only be seen from inside the park.

The water pageant is a parade--on water!  It begins its journey near the pier and beach of The Polynesian resort and continues around the Seven Seas Lagoon vising the other resorts perched on its shores: The Contemporary, the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. The pageant begins at 9 p.m. nightly at the Polynesian and snakes it way along to each resort every ten minutes until it ends at the fort. You can see it from any of these resort's piers or beach areas.

It's my husband's favorite night-time activity when we are camping at the fort. Get to the beach about 20 minutes early, and if the fireworks of Magic Kingdom haven't already been set off, you should be able to get yourself a seat at one of the tables near the pier. Bring some hot chocolate, sit back, and enjoy!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
