I love this panel! I can't decide between attending the Mama Melrose or Sci-fi Dine-in. I have a reservation for both, but Melrose will be together seating & at Sci-fi we may be seated separately. I want sci-fi, but my kids are 2 & 6, should I cha

    Hi Madre,

Sci-Fi Dine-in is a lot of fun, so if you want to dine there that's where you should go.  When you're told you may be seated separately, I think it's because of the way the majority of the table are set up.  Because you are in cars, the table seat 2 and are located directly behind each other -- front seat and back seat.  If you have only a party of 4, it's pretty safe to say that you'll be seated in the same car.  However, 2 of you will sit in the front and 2 of you sit in the back.

Although this is a fun restaurant, you should know that it's quite dark (to simulate night) and quiet as many people are watching the film clips.  Plus, it's hard to have a conversation when you're staring at the backs of people heads.   Nevertheless, it is a fun, unique dining experience.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
