Hi! Love the panel! We have just booked our vacation for October of 09 and staying at the French Quarter with our 2 kids ages 12 & 7. Is there are room or section you would reccomend that is close to the pool and bus stops? Or a level that is best?

Hi Deborah - I'm so glad that you've found the moms panel to be helpful!

My family has stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter in the past and we really enjoyed it.  It's a beautiful, low-key resort.  It's also smaller than most of the other resorts, so it isn't as essential to request a specific building, as all of the buildings are pretty convenient.

When we were there, we requested building 6, which is close to the pools, the main building, the bus stops, and the Riverside part of the resort.  If you wanted to be even more central to the main building and the bus, you could request building 4 or building 5.

As for level, I don't really think that matters.  We preferred the first floor, because my kids are in strollers, but I don't think that matters for you.

I'd also suggest that you look at the third-party website, Portorleans.org, which offers lots of information about the entire Port Orleans resort.

    Have a great vacation!
