LOVE this panel! I've booked OKW 1 bd for 3 wks Oct, 14 with my 2 girls (16&12). Can you give me any inside info on OKW, which block etc and fun things to do? Quieter pool preferably, bus stop close and love walking so don't need to be centrally locate

    Hi Lorna,

Thanks so much for your kind words!  We on the Disney Parks Moms Panel love helping you to plan magical vacations.

I absolutely adore Disney's Old Key West Resort.  I love the relaxed feel and laid-back vibe that permeates the resort.  For fun things to do, I definitely suggest spending some time taking advantage of all of the recreation at the resort.  You can borrow equipment to pay table tennis, shuffleboard, basketball, and so on right near the Hospitality House.  My family and I enjoyed a really fun afternoon doing all of these activities one day on our recent trip there.  Also make sure that you save some time to take a boat ride from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Downtown Disney.  This ride along the Sassagoula River is relaxing and peaceful.  Be sure to save time to eat at Olivia's Cafe.  I think it is one of the hidden gem restaurants on resort property.  They will bring you bread that tastes of coconut and pineapple - it is delicious!

There are a few quiet pools at Disney's Old Key West Resort, as well as bus stops, so you should never be too far away from either.  For buildings that are close to a quiet pool and bus stop, you might ask for buildings 53, 54, or 56.  You can note your requests on your reservation.  Then, when you are within 10 days of your check-in date, call Disney's Old Key West Resort Directly at (407) 827-7700 to be sure that the request is noted.  Please understand that while Disney will do their best to honor all requests, they are not guaranteed.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Lorna!  Have a great time planning your trip, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
