Lana Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Love this panel!! 2?s: 1.To book DDP, best to book with the travel agent who booked our tix & rooms, or thru Disney directly? 2.Is DDP paid for up front when you add it to you room, or put on our room keycard and paid for upon checkout? Thx 4 great adv

Hi, Lana!   While you can add on the Disney Dining Plan by calling Disney directly (up to 3 days prior to your arrival) I think it is just easier to add on the Dining Plan when booking.   That way, your package is done and ready to go and you don't have to make any additional phone calls regarding your reservation.   Also, your agent might be able to find some special offers to save you some money!

If you book a package (room/tickets/dining), generally your package must be paid in full 45 days prior to your arrival (your booking agent will confirm the policy for your particular vacation.)   If you add it on later and you are within that 45 day window of your arrival, you will need to pay it in full when adding it on.

For more details about adding on the Dining Plan, contact your travel agent or call (407)W-DISNEY.  They will help you book the plan that works best for you.  And don't forget to make your Advance Dining Reservations by calling (407)WDW-DINE.   Have a great vacation!
