Love the panel! Going to take the boat from French Quarter to Downtown Disney in Feb 2016. Could you please suggest a nice Table Service restaurant on DDP for family w/kids (6,8)? Do I make ADR like other resort restaurants? Thanks!

    Dear Rosangela,

You have a great plan taking the boat down the Sassagoula River to Downtown Disney.  It is so lovely and peaceful; it will be hard to imagine that there are so many people just a few miles away at the theme parks while you are on the boat!

Since you are part of the Disney Dining Plan, you have a nice selection of Table Service restaurants to choose from while at Downtown Disney.  My two favorites, especially since you have younger children, are T-REX and Rainforest Cafe. The theming and visual experiences while there are amazing, especially if your children like dinosaurs and rainforest animals.   The food is also delicious and yummy at Splitsville Luxury Lane, where you can also enjoy bowling as a family if you'd like to do that, but you can just have dinner there without bowling, too. I'd also like to suggest as another option Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant if your family isn't familiar with Irish food. It could be a lot of fun to sample some new food entrees. You may even have a chance to enjoy some Irish entertainment while dining.

I'd take a look at each of the restaurants and their menus to see which best fits your family's tastes and preferences.  Then, you can make your reservations online or by calling 402-WDW-DINE. If you have any further questions, please let us know. Have a magical trip!  -Kara
