Love the panel. It is always helpful. Family thinking about doing a Disney cruise in 2019. One that goes to castaway cay. Thinking end of May or beginning of August. Which one would be less crowded or will ship be full on both. Thx

    Ahoy, Kimberly!

Thanks for sailing back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and for all the love! I'm so excited to hEAR that you're planning on booking a Disney Cruise in 2019! If your family enjoys visiting Walt Disney World Resort, which it sounds like they do, I just know they'll fall in love with cruising aboard Disney Cruise Line!

I'm thrilled that you're considering an itinerary that includes a stop at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, for your upcoming cruise! Castaway Cay is my favorite port of call! In my opinion, both the end of May and beginning of August are popular times to set sail. I believe you might find the ship a little less crowded the end of May because many kids will still be in school, whereas the beginning of August is the tail-end of summer vacation.

Kimberly, even when we sail on sold-out voyages, I do not find the ship to be overcrowded. It seems like embarkation day feels the most crowded because Guests are getting settled and all on the same schedule, needing to participate in the Guest Assembly Drill, etc. Once the first full day arrives, families begin enjoying their own activities throughout the ship!

Once you book your itinerary to paradise, please come back and visit us again with any more questions! We're happy to help you navigate through the planning process!
