Love panel advice! Next year staying at AKL and want to use table/QS credits for lunch/dinner. Want to eat breakfast in room. Is there a place to buy muffins/fresh fruit/cereal/milk on site that would make this happen easily for us? Fresh fruit is key!

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a gorgeous resort, Janis; your family is in for a real treat!  As for your breakfast items, the resort gift shop sells a small selection of boxed cereals and milk.  Your choices will be limited and the prices will be slightly higher that what you're probably used to paying at the grocery store.  Similarly, muffins and a small selection of fresh fruit will be available at Mara, the quick service dining location at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  If your family isn't choosy as to your fresh fruit, Mara will probably suffice.  If you prefer to venture beyond bananas, apples and oranges, your best bet is probably to order from a local grocery delivery service.  Most of them offer free delivery to Disney resorts (though they do have minimum order amounts).  If you take that route, you can order from a wide variety of cereals and make special requests for whatever fresh fruit your hearts desire.  Just google the search term "Orlando grocery delivery" for a starting point.  I hope that helps!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
