    LOVE this panel, I am addicted! :) We're staying at the AKL in Aug (Savanna view) & its our 1st WDW vacation! Have 3 young children and want to know which area has the best animal viewing and close proximity to lobby, pool, buses...Can you help? TY

    Hi Michelle! The areas closest to the main entrance and the buses, would be Giraffe Trail and Ostrich Trail at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Giraffe Trail is closest in proximity to Zawadi Marketplace, Jiko, Boma and Uzima Pool. The Zebra Trail guest rooms facing Arusha Savanna are closest to The Mara and Uzima Pool. The Savanna view guest rooms will offer excellent views of the various animals located in each specific Savanna. In my opinion, the very best animal viewing area at the resort is Arusha Rock Savanna Overlook. There is often a Cast Member available to discuss the animal in view and also there to answer any questions. Very fun! But, I must admit, it is very nice to have morning coffee while sitting on your balcony and looking out at the animals in the Savanna. Very nice!
