Hello ...love this pane! My question..I need to modify my res from the WL to the Cabins at FW . Grandparents want to go so we need more room. Question is what cabin should I request that is closest to launch and food, etc? Can't walk very far. Thanks!

    Bethany:

Although the 2100 and 2200 Loops are probably the "closest" to the pier and buffeteria, they are still over 1/4 mile from them.  There is an internal bus line, however, that will stop near the entrance to Loop 2200 and will take you to the Pioneer Hall/pier bus stop and the Outpost bus stop where you'll catch another bus to the theme parks.

If walking is an issue for your grandparents, I'd recommend requesting a cabin near a bus stop for mobility issues.  Then, even if you aren't able to get into Loop 2200, Disney will do their best to put you near a bus stop.

Another suggestion is to rent an electric cart from the fort. At $54 a day plus tax I don't recommend them for everyone, but they do make a good investment if you're wanting to have your own transportation from your cabin door to any other location at Fort Wilderness.  Our family loves "looping" and visiting the campground on our golf cart. If you'll be at Disney during a busy time of the year, I recommend calling ahead and making a reservation at: 407-824-2742.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
