Arrrgh, Tammy! Welcome to planDisney, where we never make guests walk the plank! I recently stayed at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and loved using the
Disney Skyliner to get around. Since
EPCOT is my favorite theme park, I enjoyed the ease of hopping on a gondola to start and end my day. I even watched the fireworks on my ride back to the resort one evening. Talk about magical!
I had a blast at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort a few weeks ago. I stayed in the
Barbados section, which is close to the Disney Skyliner station. My room had not been remodeled, but the fifth sleeper was convenient!
I spoke with a very helpful Cast Member who said you could call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to request a refurbished room at this resort. While they can't guarantee your request, they will do everything they can to accommodate you. She suggested you ask for an Under the Sea themed room. These fifth-sleeper rooms used to have pirate theming and have all been remodeled. She also said some Preferred Rooms in the Martinique Building had been updated but may not have the new theme. Many changes are taking place there, so calling in is my best advice.
Tammy, I see that you're planning to visit
Walt Disney World Resort early next year. Unfortunately, you cannot make resort reservations that far out now, so keep an eye on the
Disney Park Blog for announcements about 2024 reservations. Then, you can call in to book your room and make that particular request. I feel sure you'll be sailing on the Caribbean before you know it!
Please feel free to
stop by planDisney anytime, Tammy! We love helping guests discover the treasure of a Disney vacation.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
