    Love all the new Moms on the panel! We have ADR @ CM @5:30 on our arrival day. Plan to take a cab to save time from POFQ. What time should we have the cab pick us up & any suggestions about this plan are greatly appreciated:)

    Hi Marcia! We do all love the new "moms" adding their suggestions and guidance this year to all the Disney guests!

    I think your thoughts about taking a cab to your first dining reservation will alleviate a lot of stress and is very smart. Traveling itself just to get to any destination is difficult these days and you will most likely be tired.

    The actual ride from Port Orleans French Quarter to the Contemporary resort is about 12 minutes. I would suggest you allow at least 35 minutes so you can arrive and check in before your 5:30 reservation time.  Many times taxis are outside the resorts waiting but you can check with the bell staff or the front desk to request for them to call for a taxi if you wish. They can arrive within minutes once the call is made as there are so many on property.  When you are finished and need to return to Port Orleans you can catch a taxi from the Contemporary (there are always cabs at this resort) or you can head to the Magic Kingdom by walking or taking the monorail and then catch the bus to your resort.
