Hi, we just love the Minnie Vans and found they were one of the best ways for transportation, especially between Resorts when dining outside of the parks. Do you know if Disney is planning to have this option for transportation again? or in 2022?

Hi Cynthia, and welcome to planDisney!

I am right there with you regarding the Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. I loved the convenience of the Minnie Van Service and how we could get from point A to B with the touch of a button on our smartphones. Sadly, the Minnie Van Service is temporarily unavailable.

The good news is that other options are available that might suit your needs should you choose not to rent a vehicle upon your arrival from the airport. One option is to use one of the available smartphone ride-sharing apps, which was a good experience for us when we had to use them. Another option could be to rent a car from The Car Care Center - Car Rental Facility within the Walt Disney World Resort property. It provides a complimentary shuttle service during their operating hours, and to top it off; they will even drop you off or pick you up from select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, theme parks, and Disney Springs. Renting a car from the Car Care Center is an excellent option because you do not have to figure out how to get to and from your rental; they will help with that. There are three rental car companies to choose from, so you can shop all three and see which one will fit your needs.

Of course, you can always continue to travel within Walt Disney World Resort using the available bus, boat, monorail, or the Disney Skyliner options.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Have a magical ride!
