Hi there, Jen! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love you, too! Celebrating your big boy's sixth birthday at Walt Disney World will be such a treat - for him and for you. Let's see if we can make that special birthday dinner a magical memory you'll treasure always.
There are some great dinner shows at Walt Disney World, like the Western-themed Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the South Seas flavored Spirit of Aloha. My fellow panelist Whitney made a wonderful recommendation recently for Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Your little ones will love dancing with their favorite characters, and the BBQ food is as kid-friendly as it gets.
While it's not a show, another experience you might consider is the family favorite 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Dinner is all-you-care-to-eat, served family style at your table. Everyone can join in the hula-hooping, coconut-racing fun, and if you time it right you might just catch the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular lighting up the sky over the Magic Kingdom.
Dining with Disney pals is always tons of fun for the little ones. You can find a
list of character meals on the Walt Disney World website that may help spark some more ideas for you. And don't forget to pick up a
"Happy Birthday" button for your little guy!
I hope this helps make your family celebration a blast, Jen. Please visit us again if you have any more questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
