Hello all, Love u guys. ? is has anyone had the chance to experience the Characters in Flight, Fireworks Dessert Party & Pirate League yet. Going on 9/4 wanted to see if these new things are must do's and if they r worth the money? Thanks !

    Ahoy, Brenda!

I got to experience The Pirates League on its opening day two weeks ago, and it was a swashbuckling good time!

Now it sounds like you and I are similar: is it worth the money?....the answer is yes.  And, although it's being advertised for young boys, I'd say it's as fun for girls and adults, no matter your gender or age, especially if there are several in your party.

First, you choose your pirate name by the turning of the dice. (I am forever Amelia Stormfury which was better than Bettie Sharkstench....but that's another story.)  Next, you meet your Pirate Master who helps you choose from six "looks"--one is actually full-face makeup!  For the "Impress," I loved picking my kerchief, eye patch color, eye shadow, lipgloss, and nail polish: it was like mini makeover at the department store!

From there, my hair was fixed for the kerchief, my face made over (I'm still carrying my lipgloss in my makeup bag!), and our nails polished.  We even recited the "Pirate Oath" and were taken to a secret room for well, some secret stuff....

My favorite part was not only getting to pick out all the fun makeup, but enjoying the bantering with the Pirate Crew who truly make you feel like you've been dropped off on their boat!  The park was the perfect backdrop to sport our new "look" as both cast members and other guests complimented us!

As for Characters in Flight, I'm scared of heights, so I haven't gotten up the nerve, but fellow mom Cathy has.  Just visit her bio page and ask her all about it.  And, although I haven't eaten at that specific dessert party, I have enjoyed several others with similar desserts like mini canolis, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and Disney's tiny eclairs. I'm drooling as I type.  The view's a good one outside the patio of Terrace Noodle Station.  My advice: go hungry!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
