Love the great tips! Arrive in WDW POFQ 7 wks from today. Confused about park hours, if official park hours are posted as 9am-9pm - can quests staying in WDW enter the park 1 hour prior to official opening time? Thought I remember seeing this somewhere?

    Hi Gracy,

You're referring to Extra Magic Hours.  This is one of the many benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort.  Each day, one of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks opens one hour early or remains open up to 3 hours after regular closing time.

If you go to the park calendars on www.disneyworld.com you will find the parade and fireworks schedule.   Also listed on each day are the extra magic hours that are available.  There is a tab at the top of your main page that says PARKS.  Click on that to get a drop down box.  There you can pick the Park you are interested in.  When you select your Park and are on its main page, look for the Calendar tab on the left side of your screen.  Click on that and it will take you to a monthly calendar.  You can adjust your month under the "View Month" box at the top right hand side of your calendar.  At that point all you have to do is to click on a specific day and it will list the times of all parades, fireworks, and any special event that is going on in that Park on that day.

I hope this helps!  Have a wonderful vacation!
