Hi Tammy,
You are in for one magical time with your four year old granddaughter - and celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is certainly magical!
Our family has always loved the value resorts - not only for their lower price but for the wonderfully decorated buildings, rooms and pools. If your granddaughter knows the Disney movies (which I bet she does!), let me recommend the All Star Movies. This resort has five main building themes: '101 Dalmatians', 'Mighty Ducks', 'Fantasia', 'Love Bug' and 'Toy Story'. Around the buildings are huge figures of the characters in these movies - very fun! The central 'Fantasia' Pool has a kiddie pool beside it. There is also a playground near the pool.

Here is some more information to make the 'birthday' part of the trip magical:
As you enter any theme park, make sure to stop by guest relations (inside the part entrance) to pick up a complimentary Birthday Celebration button which your granddaughter can wear throughout the day. She will be delighted when people recognize that it is her special day!
If you decide to go to out for a birthday dinner, most table-service restaurants also have birthday cakes available (at a cost of $21 for a 6-inch cake which serves 4-5 people and is available in both chocolate and vanilla). No notice is necessary; you can order upon arrival.
Have an absolutely wonderful birthday trip!
