We would love to go on the Pirate Firework Cruise at Magic Kingdom. However, we don't want to always be worrying about our two year old falling into the water. Do you think he will be a bit too young?

    Hi Lynda,

I went last year when my little girl was 2 (almost 3) and didn't have any problems.  The boats have bench seating, so chances are, your child will either be sitting in your lap or laying down about to fall asleep on a bench.  I also want to say that the boats had a railing or edge around them, so falling into the water would require some effort.

I think as long as your little one can handle staying up late enough for the cruise, then you'll be fine.  We went in December, so the fun began around 7:00 PM.  Summer cruises start much later.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
