Hi there, Laura, and welcome to planDisney! You must be getting so excited for your upcoming holiday at Walt Disney World Resort! Now is the perfect time to start thinking about dining options during your vacation, especially if you are traveling with pickier eaters.
Laura, you'll be happy to know that since the
Space 220 Lounge offers a la carte options, you can make an
Advance Dining Reservation and only order drinks, if you like. It'll be an out-of-this-world experience! I love dining at lounges during my vacation. The relaxed pace and comfortable seating that many of the lounges offer really helps me to unwind and take it all in. One of my other favorite lounges is Nomad Lounge, which is found at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You won't be able to make a reservation there, but you can join the Mobile Walkup List to get your name on the list for a table.
If you're feeling adventurous, I highly recommend heading over to
EPCOT, where you can explore the World Showcase. Each country offers dining options, including snacks, that allow you to get a taste of the cuisine from that culture. It's a low-risk way to try new dishes since the portion size (and price tag) is on the smaller side.
You're welcome to explore the menus of all of the dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort before you arrive. While menus and items are subject to change, it might be helpful to have a good idea of where to go and what to avoid. Keep in mind that many menu items can be customized based on your dietary needs and preferences. Don't hesitate to ask a friendly Cast Member for help or advice on how to order food that will be delicious to you!
Laura, I hope this is helpful as you continue to plan your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you continue to count down to your arrival!
Bon appetit!
Jennifer
