I love Disney and will always stay on sight! But unfortunately my budget keeps me focused on the affordable resorts. I have 2-6 yr olds and we are coming to CSR and need to better understand just how prepared to walk we should be. Should we switch?

    Hi Anthony,

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a beautiful, 125 acre, southwestern themed resort.  While this attractive sprawling resort does provide ample opportunity for inspiring, leisurely walks around Lago Dorado, I have a suggestion as to how you can cut down on the walking required to negotiate this resort.

Ask for a room in either the Cabanas or the Casitas areas.  When I stayed at Coronado Springs, I was assigned a room in the Ranchos village and it was a LONG walk to El Centro (the resort hub where check-in, restaurants, and shopping exists).  Have Disney note on your reservation that you want to be as close to El Centro as possible.

I think I would stick with this resort if I were you because I imagine your six-year-olds are going to love the Lost City of Cibola Pool.  If they like water slides, then the Jaguar Pool Slide is going to be lots of fun.  And, if anyone in your party enjoys Mexican food you'll appreciate the proximity to Maya Grill and the Pepper Market.  The Pepper Market happens to be my favorite quick-service restaurant on property.

Enjoy all that Disney's Coronado Springs Resort has to offer!
